John Flake, a legendary figure in Arkansas’ commercial real estate industry, has joined Flake & Company commercial real estate firm to serve as Chief Real Estate Advisor.

John founded the original Flake & Company in 1979. During his career, he developed the 40-story Simmons Bank Building in downtown Little Rock, which opened in 1986. Mr. Flake also successfully completed projects for healthcare institutions, office, retail and multiple energy solutions projects. His client portfolio includes Baptist Health, Walmart, Dillard’s, Verizon, Acxiom, Entergy and the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas. John is highly dedicated to downtown Little Rock and his vision has always been to strengthen the downtown skyline.

John is a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM), and is a member of the Arkansas Real Estate Association, the Little Rock Real Estate Association and the National Association of Realtors. He is also affiliated with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Big Brothers of Pulaski County, the Greater Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Partnership, and the Little Rock National Airport Commission.

Mr. Flake graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts and the Babson Graduate School of Business Administration with a Masters of Business Administration.
